My Story
For years, I struggled with undiagnosed upper airway resistance syndrome (UARS), a form of sleep-disordered breathing (SDB). It took a serious toll on my physical health, mental well-being, and quality of life. Finally getting a diagnosis 10 years ago was life-changing: it gave me answers I had been searching for and reshaped the direction of my life.

That turning point led me into public health work at the United Nations, where for nearly a decade I’ve helped low- and middle-income countries strengthen their health systems and confront neglected diseases. In that work, I realized something striking: sleep-disordered breathing itself is one of the world’s hidden health crises. It affects more than a billion people globally, yet most go undiagnosed. Behind the scenes, it quietly fuels chronic disease, mental health struggles, and lost potential.

I founded REMetrics to change that. The company is the product of my personal journey searching for treatment and my professional experience bridging public health, engineering, and medicine. My mission is simple: to raise awareness around sleep-disordered breathing, and help people make better informed decisions together with their healthcare providers.
